Participation from parents, learners, and external stakeholders should remain voluntary.

Teachers, school heads, and school personnel should observe important reminders during Brigada Eskwela.
These include:
- participation should be voluntary;
- no Brigada Eskwela fee should be collected;
- school personnel should not require learners or parents to participate in exchange for grades or extra points;
- donations and resources should be properly recorded;
- safety and security protocols should be observed;
- schools should avoid partnerships that conflict with DepEd policies;
- activities should support school readiness, safety, and learning;
- proper documentation should be prepared; and

Absolute Prohibition on Solicitation
One important reminder in the guidelines is the prohibition on solicitation or collection of fees.
